More Traffic Equals More Adsense Income
From my experience, and every other internet marketer or blogger out there, increasing my website traffic has been the best way to increase adsense income. The formula is simple: to get more clicks you need more people coming to your website.
It is a numbers game. Another name for it is “the law of averages.” You throw enough spaghetti on the wall enough of it is going to stick.
On a good day you may get a 10% conversion rate. That would be a phenomenal day. Several blogs I own rank #1 for their keyword and they usually pull in a 5-6% click through rate. That is a good average to go by. Sometimes you will get 10% but other times you may get 3%. But if you average it out, and you are not breaking any Google TOS, then you will most likely average five percent if you have done a decent amount of keyword research.
So again, here the the magic formula: [more targeted organic traffic = more Google adsense revenue].
You can play around with the adsense blocks all you want. Sure, blending them into your background helps. You want to make the color of the text links the same color as your website. Larger blocks perform better than smaller blocks. The 336 x 280 ad blocks are BY far the best. Best ad placement is above the content or in the middle. The right skyscraper sucks even though you would think it would perform great. Just by putting it on the left sidebar is five times better.
But, none of that maters if only ten people are coming to your site everyday. It makes no difference. A person getting 1000s of visitors everyday will make money no matter where he pastes his code. More adsense income comes with more increased traffic. Focus on that everything else you do will work.
Write great content, make websites people WANT to link to naturally ( I have been learning a lot about “link bait”), and do proper keyword research. Once you master those things you WILL make the type of income you want.
