Unofficial Google Site About Making Adsense Revenue

Google Adsense Revenue

If you are looking for a way to monetize your website or blog then Google adsense revenue could be a good affiliate program you could benefit from.  If you are getting any sort of targeted organic traffic then you are loosing money if you do not have some sort of adverting on your site.

This is some of the best kind and as you read further I will explain exactly why.

Google adsense revenue is made from having Google adsense ads on your site. When people click on them you get a percentage of what Google gets for that particular click.  The actual amount can be as low as .05 cents and be as high as $10 depending on your niche and how far that click lead to an actual sale for the advertiser.  The adsense revenue Google program is like a revenue sharing agreement more than anything.

The “big G” has a long list of advertisers who want to get new customers to their website for whatever goods or services they are currently selling.

These advertisers sign up for something called Google “adwords.”  These adwords ads come in the form of sponsored links you see when you enter a specific search in Google and also Google adsense ad blocks found on actual websites.

Here is how you, as a website owner,  make money.  Usually websites are about a specific subject.  There are a lot of general websites and blogs out there but most center around a specific theme or idea.

The people who find your site have the subject of your site already on their mind.  Google, with your permission, places adsense ads on your site which in turn leads to its advertiser’s websites (the clicks are monitored and tracked).

The people who click on those ads have the subject of whatever your site is on their minds and they are led to another site that is actually selling a product or service relating to that.

Your site is usually just “talking” about a subject and the leads lead to people selling the goods or services you are talking about.

Statistics show that there is a high likelihood these people will henceforth purchase the product that particular  advertiser is selling because it fulfills the need of the consumer.  Unless the person is just looking for information you are not fulfilling anything. You are just educating.  The adsense ads on your site should lead to sites that will satisfy those wants and needs that is how you make revenue.

For instance,  a person who goes to a blog about hunting will be interested in ads that direct him or her to websites that sell hunting apparel, gear, or related items.  You are educating the person about where to hunt, how to hunt, and when to hunt but he or she cannot do any of that without the proper equipment.  And sites selling just that is what you should have on your site.

No matter if the person who clicks on the ads buys not not you get Google adsense revenue but the more targeted the click is the more money you make.

If the click is not targeted or valid the value of it will be very small or nothing at all.  If you get too many bad clicks your adsense account will be smart priced or banned.  Google wants it advertisers to get valid and targeted clicks to their websites because only then will they will keep buying adwords.  If the advertisers were not making any money from doing business with Google they would stop within several weeks or days.

In 2008 Google made $21 billion dollars from its adwords revenue so obviously the system works and enough of its advertisers are adequately satisfied with the system.  I hear all the time people saying that the system does not work, and blah blah blah.

People, by now if the system did not work the price for ONE share of Google would not be $569.49 (as of 4-8-2010).

Additionally, no matter what people say enough webmasters must be making decent Google adsense revenue, or enough to keep them happy, otherwise Google could have as many advertisers as it wanted but would not have enough websites to put them.

The whole adsense program does work.  Thousands of people are making money from having adsense ads on their website and hundreds of thousands of businesses are making money by having adsense ads drive traffic to their otherwise obscure website.  A big factor is the “landing page” but that is a whole different topic.  It is a win win for both parties.  Google serves as the middleman between online consumers and businesses.

I pay half of my bills every month with Google adsense revenue and I can tell you the one thing you need to make it work.  Targeted organic traffic!  Social traffic looks nice but will not do anything for you from an adsense point of view.

A power user can “Stumble” your website and bring you over 1,000 hits in five minutes.  Are those visitors looking for what your particular ads are showing?  No.  But when someone finds your website by typing a keyword into Google you can bet they are looking for what your adsense ads are showing.

Simple Explanation How to Make Google Adsense Revenue

Before you start your adsense account you need a website.  Not only that, you need a good website or blog that is built around a certain theme or subject.  It could anything from “auto mechanics” to “Alaskan fishing.”  You also need to build excellent content that people want to read.

Hint:  You get rich by making content people LOVE to read.

Next, you need to post at least once a week.  Google loves content and they especially love fresh content.  When its crawlers see you post often they come back to your site often.  You have to get its crawlers “addicted” to your website.  They get all excited when they see new posts on websites!  Keep in mind that the crawlers cannot read flash or video.  They read words.  You need to have at least 150 words on good content on every page of your website.  350 is even better.

Third, you need to network around the net.  You need back links from people who have similar subjects to you.  This is not a site about “links” or making money online as it is about slowly growing steady adsense Google revenue so I will not get into details about link building.  Needless to say you really need these to grow any website with any decent amount of targeted organic traffic so I would research this topic as much as I possibly can. You need to become proficient in this area to make adsense income.

Lastly, you need to open up a Google adsense account and paste the code on your site.  There are many ad block sizes and shapes for you to chose from.  You can make your adsense blocks any size or color you want.  You can choose if your adsense ads are just text links or image links.  You can get them in a rectangle shape, box shape, or skyscraper shape.  It is completely up to you.  The ability also rests with you whether to have a border around your adsense ads or make them blend in.  I think blending in works much better than the border outline.

Follow the official adsense heat map released several years ago.  It really does work.  There was tons of research put into making that diagram and it was found that certain spots on a page produce WAY better than others.

After you do this you check your Google adsense account everyday and see how many people clicked on the ads.  Google will give you 25-30% of the adsense revenue.  If you take your time, build your website correct, you can make $1000 in adsense revenue in 1-2 years of hard work and determination.

Keep in mind that making a decent passive income with Google adsense revenue is not easy.  If it was everyone would be doing it.  You have to attack it like a part time job.  Through hard work, hundreds of hours, you can make it happen.  If you want to get rich quick, forget about it!
