Goods Habits Key to Great Adsense Revenue
To make a large amount of adsense revenue you need to form good habits. Like many things in life you need to form a pattern, or schedule, and follow it everyday.
In another post we discussed the habits that will prevent you from making money with the Google Adsense program.
But now, lets take another approach and talk about good habits.
After all that is the point of this blog.
It should be the reason why you are reading this post in the first place. You should not only want to know what not to do in order to make Google Adsense revenue but be pointed in a positive direction in TO make that happen.
Figure out a routine and follow it. Action will bring you money.
You are going to spend a lot of time writing, on your own site and others, and the best time to start is now.
It starts with keyword research but after that it is time to take off.
You will need to set a least an hour every single day to write or research the topic your website or blog is about.
Again, it will take a consistent schedule of one hour of writing minimum to make Adsense revenue.
The first 3-6 months your website promotion or link building will consist of:
- article writing (Ezine, Hubpages, and Buzzle are my three favorite article directories)
- link exchanges with friends are highly related web sites
- Commenting on other blogs for exposure
- Guest posting (This is more advanced and will take time to master)
- Writing your own blog posts
Today, when I got off of work I immediately went to work for myself. I have my laptop in my car and I went to Borders.
Starbucks and Borders have excellent Wi-Fi and I know if I go home I am going to chill on the couch and watch the NBS playoffs. While I may enjoy watching a half a century old rivalry going on between the Celtics and Lakers that is no going to help me make Google Adsense revenue that gets deposited into my bank account every month usually around the 25th via direct deposit.
So I come here and work. For an hour from 5-6 PM I looked for potential link exchange partners for this very site. I entered in several keywords and looked for their contact information via Whois. I hate e-mailing people now. I used to send out 50 e-mails and maybe get five back. I like person to person phone calls where I can explain to someone what my website is all about and how a link exchange can help both of us.
Anyway, this is my process. I spend about an hour per day just building links. It could via forums, reciprocals, article writing, or directory submissions. They all add up at the end of the year. There is no magic bullet that I use or any other “SEO Guru.” Its work and lots of it.
The more links I build the better I will rank on Google for one or several potential keywords. The higher I rank for a keyword the more traffic I will receive. And, the since Adsense revenue is determined by organic traffic when that increases I get more clicks.
If a website I own is on page 2 then I may get 10 hits a day. Unless it is a site that has a high paying keyword like “personal injury attorney” the total payout per month will be a couple bucks. But when that same site reaches page one my traffic goes up to 50-70 his per day. That should be worth at least $3-$5 per day. And then if it gets to the top of page one I could be looking at $10-$20 a day in Google Adsense revenue for a typical keyword at a 5% conversion rate.
Your online business needs to be a second job for it to work. I know people may not want to hear that but it is true. You need to set aside a certain amount of time everyday to work on it. Passive income does not come easy and if it did then everyone would be doing it. Very few people who are trying to make great adsense income actually do. Set aside a portion of the day so that you do not become part of that statistic.

[...] Little did many of them know that their seemingly insignificant blog would attract thousands of people to it everyday that they could one day monetize with Adsense ads. [...]
