Unofficial Google Site About Making Adsense Revenue

Best Adsense Ad Block

I can tell you with 99.9% accuracy that the best adsense ad block is 326 x 280.  Out of all the shape and sizes you can put your adsense in this one is the very best.  By a long shot!

Many people, including myself, have experimented with other blocks.  I personally liked the long skyscraper and thought that one would be the best.  Turns out it was not.  Now, when I have a theme where the sidebar is on the left hand side it performs a little better but overall the results are bad.  It looks good. It is non obtrusive.  It is out of the way.  And that is precisely why people coming to your website do not notice it.

As I said in another post I am a huge fan of following the Google heat map for best results.  That diagram represents research of thousands of websites.  Putting the 326 * 260 rectangular code right above the content, sometimes above the post title, works the best.

That is going to get you maximum adsense revenue.  The advertising are right in a person’s face when they arrive to your site.  Some will read your content.  Others will hit the back button if something immediately do not catch their eye.  But 5% of them will click on your ads.
